Egmont Key National Wildlife Refuge - St. Petersburg, FL
Egmont Key State Park is a Florida State Park located on Egmont Key, at the mouth of Tampa Bay. It lies southwest of Fort DeSoto Park. It can only be reached by boat or ferry. The Egmont Key Lighthouse and the ruins of Fort Dade, a Spanish-American War era fort, are located in the park.  Among the wildlife in the park are gopher tortoises, hummingbirds, and seabirds.  Approximately 400 acres, 1.6 miles long, less than 1/2 mile wide. Cost of Ferry to the island is $20.00.  They have a minimum number requirement for the ferry to depart.  Departure is scheduled for 10:00am with a return ferry at 3:00pm.
